Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American singer-dancer and actress. Her career began with Broadway career performing in musicals, including Wicked Legally Blonde, and Hair. She received her Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in the Play to play Essie Carmichael in You Can't Take It With You. Annaleigh Ashley is a Tony Award winning actor and actress has collaborated with directors and actors both on screen and stage for her entire career. Ashford is scheduled to be as a co-star with Kumail Nanjiani on the Hulu limited series Welcome to Chippendales from creator Robert Siegel premiering on November 22. Ashford's current project will be Searchlight Pictures horror thriller Dust, starring alongside Sarah Paulson and Ebonmoss-Bachrach. This film is part of a Hulu Original and will be streaming on Disney DTC. Ashford is set to appear as Josh Groban on Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre during the march 2023 revival of Stephensondheim's Sweeney Todd. The team behind Hamilton producer Jeffrey Seller and director Thomas Kail will be at helm of the production. Ashford's latest role was as Paula Jones on Ryan Murphy FX's American Crime Story Impeachment. The series is based on a National scandal that featured Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky, and Linda Tripp. The two-season run she had on the CBS show B Positive was her first major role. It was created by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre with the legendary Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. Ashford, who is not new to Broadway has won two Tony Drama Desk Awards as along with Outer Critics Circle Awards in her role as Essie. Sunday in the Park starring George Wicked and Legally Blonde are amongst her additional Broadway performances. Ashford was raised and born in Denver and is now dividing the time in Los Angeles, and New York.
