Reese Witherspoon's acting career started to grow when she enrolled at Stanford University. At the beginning of her career, she was in roles in movies like Pleasantville or Election. However, it is Elle Woods' portrayal in Legally Blonde which marked a important pivotal moment in her career. Witherspoon won an Academy Award in 2005 for her part on Walk the Line. When she was only 14, she was cast as the lead actress in The Man in the Moon the film that was her debut feature. The first year following the high school years, Witherspoon seriously considered quitting acting so that she could join her parents in the medical field. In 2003, The Invisible Man was her debut film. In the following years, she was a part of several TV shows, including House of Lies Whitney, Better Call Saul and The Invisible Man. She also appeared as an actress in The Dictator (1998) and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone (2006). She is a talented artist, and has also exhibited in several galleries.
